Black Coral Teardrop Necklace

I made this one-of-a-kind black coral necklace from a beach find, after the last hurricane. I sanded and polished it like crazy to bring out the polished hem look of the coral, and added a freshwater pearl to create the teardrop. The sterling bezel is from a casting of a natural object too, a cactus. I like the branch-like quality of the cactus, and being hollow, it’s the perfect tube shape to finish this piece.
